If extensive corrosion is found and need to run new wire, consider paying a little extra for pre-tinned, multi-strand “Boat Cable” labeled “UL 1426 Type III,” which indicates that a wire is finely stranded (Type III) and complies with Underwriters Laboratory (UL) Standard UL 1426.

- Nautical Circuits only uses tinned Marine Grade wire and uninsulated tinned connectors.
- Connectors 10AWG and smaller are attached using a leverage high pressed tool.
- Connectors 8AWG and larger are attached with a hydraulic high press tool.
- Every connector ( 6AWG and Smaller) is then Soldered.
- All connectors are then sealed with an environmental heat shrink tubing.
- All connectors are then terminated using an antioxidant compound.
